Pirate Arrrggg...Ahoy me mateys, Pirate here, Sailin' in the Blue Isle Seas! I be sailin' into me agility titles faster than you can say Davey Jones! Last weekend at the ASC of WA/ RAT trial I be gettin' me Novice Jumpers (JS-N), Open Jumpers (JS-O) and me Novice Gamblers (GS-N) title and ! I be only 5 points away from me Regular Novice title. Ember finished her Open Jumper's title along with on leg towards Elite Jumpers title also with a 3rd place beating her older house bother Maximum sired by Blue Isle Maddash to Fayblehill ~ Hurry ~ Ember took a second place in Open Standard because of a dropped bar her handlers fault! Otherwise she was the fastest Open time of most all the opens runs for the entire weekend. Very proud of her. Video on her page. All the Willie pups show enormous improvements within there agility careers. New Videos will be posted on their web pages. The old videos are on the 2009-2010 video page.
Maximum Q'd 11 of 15 runs once again stayed the steady and sure course the entire weekend, a once in a lifetime dog! The only no Q's are handler error, not the dog!
Mirage finished her Novice Jumpers title, and Standard Novice Title, I didn't see the placements, although I'm sure they were very fast and fun! Good Job Julie! her titles are NA, NAJ / RS-N, JS-N
Safari was the girl to beat in Novice or Open. One of the fasted most accurate Novice Aussies I have ever seen. Ember had a hard time keeping up with this girl. Here is her story from Laure' Smith ~ Safari is turning heads with her speed and excitement this weekend at her first ASCA Agility trial! She LOVES it!! and has earned 2 new titles in 2 days her first time out. With 6 first placements.
She now has her Novice Regular title and Novice Gamblers title. ( I feel this is Absolutely an Understatement, this girl is something special in my opinion, Melinda Hyams)
Cowboy, Tinker, and Yippee ~ results coming soon
March 13-14 2010 ~ Seattle Kennel Club AKC confirmation / Agility / Rally / Obedience ~ results
Willie and Piper both Q'd in Nov Rally and received their titles. All three Q's for them were in the 90's with little training on the handler's part ;-) Got to love these smart Aussies. Sunday: Willie - 3rd and Q with a 99 ; Piper Q with 95.
Tinker & Noel winning Rally Novice their first time in the ring with a perfect score!
Ember and Maximum both dogs ran only on Saturday, good thing because the owner injured her knee severely when they ran way to fast on that carpet. Ember almost Q'd her Excellent A JWW run, but popped out of the weaves. The run was so fast I think that was when the knee injury happened. Maximum Q'd 2nd placed both runs giving him another double Q. Very proud of both of them. With 300 people watching, it was all business with both of my dogs when I said "sit say". I know Max was saying to me "thanks for letting me run agility in the house"
IZZY & Josette finish Rally A with a 99 score and first place. Great job!
March 13-14 2010 ~ news from Laurie Newburn ~ Ch.Blue Isle Black Irish, Dublin, won the breed at the Purina Nat'l on Saturday which was also an Aussie booster, and then went onto a grp 4th that evening at the "formal attire" group competition. Also Kenji finished AKC 2009 obedience rankings with #1 in Utility, #2 in Open and #7 in Novice. He was only shown 4 times in each level. I don't recall ever seeing a dog ranked at all 3 levels in the same year. He is quite a dog.
